How does the Altair Blackhawk handle in wind?

The Blackhawk is a very stable and durable drone that handles much better in wind than our two beginner offerings. However, as with most drones, use caution when flying in winds of more than 10 mph.

What is the range of the flight controller?

300-500 meters.

Does the Altair Blackhawk have 4- or 6-axis gyroscopic control?

How can you keep track of the Altair Blackhawk’s orientation while in flight?

The Altair Blackhawk has a distinctive shape with a prominent fin on the back and a bright light on the front.

How do I install new propellers?

How do I adjust the trim on the Altair Blackhawk?

The analog controller has three trim buttons, allowing you to adjust the trim up, down, left, or right. These functions are shown in detail here:  Click Here to watch video

Does this drone come with a built-in camera?

No, but it does come with a mount that lets you attach an action camera to the drone.

What cameras work with the Altair Blackhawk?

The Blackhawk is designed for use with the GoPro Hero 3 or 4, but will work with any action camera whose dimensions are 41mm x 59mm x 30 mm. The GoPro Hero 5 is NOT compatible with this drone.

Can you control the drone without the remote?

No. Unlike our other drones, this one cannot be controlled with a mobile device.

Does the Altair Blackhawk have a carrying case?
